Zirkon Limited Environmental Policy

Zirkon Limited is a designer and manufacturer of electronic and mechanical control systems, specializing in the contract assembly of surface mount and through hole printed circuit boards at the site in Rugby Warwickshire.

The Company recognizes that its activities will have an impact on the environment, including design of products, energy consumption, emissions, waste disposal and discharge of trade effluent.

In Particular We Will:

·	Ensure employees and contractors are responsible for working in a manner which protects the environment. We will continue to educate our workforce by providing updated environmental awareness training to reduce impact on the environment.
·	Fully integrate environmental management into operating procedures to ensure short and long term environmental issues are considered. Compliance will be mandatory for all employees. We will continue to communicate progress on these issues to employees and external parties.
·	Audit operations on a regular basis to identify strengths and areas for continuous improvement, and to highlight actions required to prevent pollution or other potential deficiencies.
·	Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
·	Listen and respond to the opinions of interested parties, including our customers.

Where Commercially Viable We Intend To:

·	Consider the environmental impacts of our products, where we are responsible for or are able to influence the design.
·	Work with our suppliers to reduce the amount of packaging waste we receive, and with our customers to reduce the amount we deliver.
·	Reduce the overall amount of energy consumed based on business activity.
·	Review the design of our processes to reduce or eliminate those substances that have an adverse impact on the environment or the safety of our employees.
